The Open Door provides charitable and educational services to individuals who are incarcerated and/or who have been released from jail or prison.
Prisoner Correspondence Program
We understand that our ability to connect with people is entirely based on the volunteer efforts of all involved.
Acceptance is key
Those in need include people coming out of incarceration both from the Marathon County jail and from the state prison system.
We take pride in partnering with other service providers in our community.
Family Support Group
We help families navigate the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for their loved ones who are currently or where incarcerated.
A women’s group for females that are currently or recently incarcerated to help them determine their needs and have peer support to aid in their reentry
A men’s group to help the currently incarcerated and recently released determine their needs and work on their reentry into society.
